Biography
Rick Boyle was an American journalist, photographer and author. He co-wrote the screenplay for the 1986 film Salvador with Oliver Stone.
Boyle was born in San Francisco in 1942 and died in the Philippines in 2016. He reported from conflicts including Vietnam, Cambodia, Lebanon and El Salvador. The film Salvador, in which he was portrayed by James Woods, received Academy Award nominations for Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay.
