Biography
Rita Gam was an American actress. Born Rita Eleanore MacKay in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she began her career on Broadway in the 1940s and made her film debut in The Thief (1952). She appeared in films including King of Kings (1961) as Herodias, Hannibal (1959) and Shoot Out (1971).
Gam played Trina in Klute (1971). She also worked in television, including episodes of The Rockford Files and Tales of the Unexpected, and later produced documentaries. She shared the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the 1962 Berlin International Film Festival for No Exit. She died in Los Angeles in 2016.
