Biography
Rita Kaufman (29 November 1888 – 9 November 1968) was an American costume designer active in Hollywood during the early 1930s. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, she worked primarily for Fox Film Corporation as a fashion creator and costume designer.
Her credits include wardrobe or costume design on Me and My Gal (1932), Call Her Savage (1932), State Fair (1933), I Loved You Wednesday (1933) and David Harum (1934). She was educated at the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Lincoln and left the film industry after her marriage to actor Edmund Lowe.
