Biography
Rob Manning is a British composer and musician who has worked in film and television for over 25 years. He studied music at Brunel University in London, toured with bands, and trained as a television sound recordist before moving into full-time composing in 2005.
He is credited as composer on the BAFTA-nominated documentary Maiden (2019). His other scores include the documentaries Chuck Norris vs Communism (2015) and Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case (2023), both for Netflix, as well as One Deadly Weekend in America (BBC) and the drama Nezouh (Film4). Manning has composed for series such as Jamie Johnson and contributed additional music to The Pale Horse (BBC).
His documentary work also encompasses programmes for the BBC including Sir David Attenborough’s Climate Change: The Facts and Extinction: The Facts, and the BAFTA-winning series Fonejacker (Channel 4).
