Biography
Robert Dunham (1931–2001) was an American actor who appeared in numerous Japanese films, particularly Toho productions during the 1960s and 1970s. He was often credited as Dan Yuma or Danny Yuma. After serving as a US Marine in Yokohama, where he learned fluent Japanese, he remained in Japan for over two decades, working in import and export while taking acting roles.
He is best known for playing Emperor Antonio of Seatopia in Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973), Mark Jackson in Dogora (1964) and Captain Martin in The Green Slime (1968). Other credits include uncredited parts in Mothra (1961) and Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964), and roles in The Face of Another (1966) and ESPY (1974). Dunham performed his own stunts, including motorcycle sequences, and his Japanese fluency meant his voice was rarely dubbed.
