Biography
Robert Gordon (also credited as Bobby Gordon) was an American actor and director. As a child actor he appeared in films from 1923 to 1939, most notably as Young Jakie Rabinowitz in The Jazz Singer (1927).
He began directing in 1947 with Blind Spot. His feature credits include The Joe Louis Story (1953), It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955) and Black Zoo (1963). He also directed episodes of television series such as Maverick, My Friend Flicka, Zane Grey Theater, The Texan and The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. He was the last surviving cast member of The Jazz Singer.
