Biography
Robert L. Boyett is an American television and film producer. Born in 1942, he grew up in Atlanta and moved to New York City, where he worked as a development executive at ABC and later as senior vice president at Paramount Television. He served as a creative consultant on Happy Days before joining Miller-Milkis Productions in 1978, forming Miller-Milkis-Boyett Productions.
The company, later known as Miller-Boyett Productions, produced numerous family-oriented sitcoms including Perfect Strangers (1986), Full House (1987), Family Matters (1989) and Step by Step (1991). Boyett was an executive producer on many of these series. He also produced the 1982 film The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Following the company's dissolution, Boyett produced for the stage and returned to television under Robert L. Boyett Productions, serving as executive producer on the Full House sequel Fuller House (2016).
