Biography
Robert Postec (1923–1964) was a French actor and theatre director. He appeared as Docteur Valineau in Agnès Varda’s Cléo from 5 to 7 (1962) and played Michel in an episode of the anthology film Les Baisers (1964). He also acted in the television film Les mystères de Paris (1961).
Postec was primarily known as a stage director and artistic director of the Compagnie Robert Postec. He directed and adapted plays by Eugène Ionesco, Jean Anouilh, Tennessee Williams and others in Paris theatres during the 1950s and early 1960s, and later worked in Israel. He was married to film editor Ziva Postec.
