Biography
Robert Stevens Wayne is an American actor from Atlanta, Georgia. He began performing in local theatre as a child and later earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Georgia. He also studied at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. He has appeared in more than seventy stage productions, operas and musicals across the southeast, including at Serenbe Playhouse, Actor's Express and Georgia Ensemble Theatre. He received the 2018 Atlanta Suzi Bass Award for best supporting actor for his role as Herr Schultz in Serenbe Playhouse's production of Cabaret and was nominated three times for the award overall.
Wayne first appeared on screen in the 1981 television series Breaking Away and the 1984 film The Bear. He then paused his screen career to practise law before resuming in 2016. His subsequent credits include DC's Stargirl (2020) as Forger, One Night in Miami... (2020) as Jules Podell, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022) as Emotional Guard, Appendage (2023) as Cement Man and Carolina Caroline (2026) as William Henry. He has also appeared in A Jazzman's Blues (2022) and The Great Lillian Hall (2024).
