Biography
Robin Hawdon is an English actor, playwright and novelist. Born on 28 March 1939 in Newcastle upon Tyne, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. His acting career began in the 1960s with roles in British television series and feature films.
He is known for appearances in The Day the Earth Caught Fire (1961), Bedazzled (1967) as Randolph, When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth (1970) as Tara, and UFO (1970). Hawdon also performed extensively on the London stage and in repertory companies, taking roles including Hamlet and Henry V. He stopped acting in 1980 to focus on writing and later served as director of the Theatre Royal Bath.
