Biography
Roger Blin (22 March 1907 – 20 January 1984) was a French actor and theatre director. He appeared in numerous films, including as The Poet in Jean Cocteau's Orpheus (1950), François in Le Corbeau (1943), and the voice of L'aveugle in The King and the Mockingbird (1980).
Blin staged the world premieres of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot in 1953 and Endgame in 1957. He also directed the first performances of Jean Genet's The Blacks (1959) and The Screens (1961), and worked with Antonin Artaud earlier in his career.
