Biography
Roger Towne is an American screenwriter and producer. He is the younger brother of the screenwriter Robert Towne.
Towne co-wrote the screenplay for the 1984 film The Natural, directed by Barry Levinson and based on the novel by Bernard Malamud. He received a story credit or co-writing credit on later projects including the television film In the Company of Spies (1999) and the feature The Recruit (2003). He also wrote the screenplay for A Bird of the Air (2011) and served as executive producer on several of his credited works.
