Biography
Romain Bouquet was a French actor born Francis Romain Bouquet on 4 October 1887 in Lyon. He began his career in the theatre, appearing with Jacques Copeau's company at the Théâtre du Vieux-Colombier from 1913 onwards.
Bouquet worked in French cinema during the 1930s, taking supporting roles in films by directors including Jean Renoir. He played Henriot, the hosiery boss, in Renoir's La Chienne (1931). He also provided the voice of the Fox in the animated feature The Tale of the Fox (1941). Other credits include Les Trois Mousquetaires (1933) and Knock (1933).
Bouquet died on 16 April 1943 in Santiago, Chile.
