Biography
Romain Gavras is a French film director, screenwriter and producer. Born in Paris on 4 July 1981, he is the son of director Costa-Gavras and a co-founder of the Kourtrajmé film collective.
His feature films include Our Day Will Come (2010), The World Is Yours (2018) and Athena (2022). He directed, wrote and produced the 2025 film Sacrifice, his English-language debut, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Gavras has also directed music videos for artists including M.I.A., Kanye West and Jay-Z, and Justice.
