Biography
Rosa María Sardà (also credited as Rosa Maria Sardà i Tàmaro) was a Spanish actress. She was born in Barcelona in 1941 and died there in 2020. Self-taught, she began in amateur theatre in her home city before making her professional stage debut in 1962.
She appeared in numerous films, including Airbag (1997), The Girl of Your Dreams (1998), All About My Mother (1999) as Rosa's mother, Torrente 2: Mission in Marbella (2001), Take My Eyes (2003), Spanish Affair 2 (2015) and The Queen of Spain (2016). She won two Goya Awards for Best Supporting Actress, for Why Do They Call It Love When They Mean Sex? (1993) and No Shame (2001). Sardà also worked extensively in theatre and television.
