Biography
Rotem Shamir is an Israeli writer, director and producer. He graduated in film studies from the New School University in New York.
He created the Israeli series Bnei Aruba (2013–2016), also known as Hostages, and served as its writer and director. Shamir directed the second season of Fauda (2017–2020) and co-created Rough Diamonds (2023) and Line in the Sand (2021). He has also directed episodes of Hit & Run (2021) and the film Rescue Bus 300 (2018).
His television work has received awards from the Israeli Television Academy, including for best directing on Fauda, and a Golden Umbrella award for Bnei Aruba.
