Biography
Rushi Sharma is an Indian costume designer. With her creative partner Manoshi Nath, she co-founded Fools Paradise Design Works Pvt Ltd in 2007. The pair have worked together on numerous Indian films since their first feature collaboration on Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006).
Sharma studied fashion design at NIFT Delhi and began her professional work in theatre costume design before moving into film. Their early credits include Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008). They have designed costumes for Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), Shanghai (2012), Talaash (2012), Queen (2014), PK (2014), Kick (2014), Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015), Shamshera (2022) and others.
Sharma and Nath have received Filmfare Awards for Best Costume Design for Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2009) and Shanghai (2013), and a Screen Award for PK (2015). They are noted for their work on sustainability in costume design, including sourcing pre-used garments.
