Biography
Saade Mustafa is an American cinematographer and Steadicam operator based in New York. A member of IATSE Local 600, he has nearly three decades of experience in film and television. He began as a camera operator and Steadicam operator before serving as director of photography on The Blacklist from 2016 to 2022, after earlier camera work on the series from 2013.
Mustafa has worked as director of photography on series including The Equalizer and Stargirl, and on feature films such as Queen of Knives (2024) and King of Knives (2020). His cinematography on Queen of Knives earned Best Feature Film Cinematography and Best Film Lighting at the NY Cinematography Awards in 2023, as well as a Platinum Winner award for Cinematography from the International Independent Film Awards.
A U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Persian Gulf War, Mustafa studied visual arts at Long Island University.
