Biography
Sabine Lancelin is a French cinematographer born on 22 December 1959 in Kinshasa, then Leopoldville in the Belgian Congo.
She began working in the camera department in the 1980s and made her feature debut as director of photography in the mid-1990s. Lancelin has photographed films by Philippe Grandrieux (Sombre, 1998), Chantal Akerman (The Captive, 2000; Tomorrow We Move, 2004), Manoel de Oliveira (including I'm Going Home, 2001; Eccentricities of a Blonde-Haired Girl, 2009; The Strange Case of Angelica, 2010), Michel Piccoli, Éric Rohmer, Raoul Ruiz and others. Since 2017 she has directed the image department at La Fémis film school.
