Biography
Sally Hunter is a Scottish sailor who served as a crew member on the yacht Maiden during the 1989 Whitbread Round the World Race. She was the only Scot on the first all-female crew to compete in the event.
Hunter, originally from Irvine, continued sailing after the race, including deliveries and further competitions. She appears as herself in the 2018 documentary Maiden.
