Biography
Sam Retford is an Australian actor. Born in Gosford, New South Wales, he moved with his family to Crewe, England, and trained at The Lowry Actors Company.
He made his screen debut in the 2014 Hollyoaks spin-off Tom's Life and gained prominence as Cory Wilson in the Channel 4 series Ackley Bridge (2017–2019). Subsequent television roles include Curtis Delamere in Coronation Street (2021), appearances in Death in Paradise (2021), Grace (2021) and All Creatures Great and Small (2023), and the part of Dougal MacKenzie in the Outlander prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood (2025).
Retford has also performed in stage productions including Closets (2018) and Kings of Idle Land (2019).
