Biography
Sam Winston was a film editor whose credits include The Blue Angel (1930), Morocco (1930), The Scarlet Empress (1934), The Devil Is a Woman (1935) and The Shanghai Gesture (1941). He worked frequently with director Josef von Sternberg, sometimes uncredited.
Born in Bastrop, Texas, Winston also received writing and producing credits. He died in Los Angeles in 1965.
