Biography
Sammy Dane is a film editor. He is credited as editor on the documentary American Symphony (2023), directed by Matthew Heineman, and as co-editor on The First Wave (2021). He has also worked as an editor on This is Reading (2017, credited as Sam Dane) and as assistant or additional editor on several documentaries and series, including 16 Bars (2018) and Aftershock (2022).
Dane graduated from Babson College in 2015. He grew up in Manhattan and began making documentaries while at the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies. He has received a New York Emmy Award for a documentary on policing in New York City and has a portfolio site noting Emmy- and Grammy-winning editorial work.
