Biography
Sarah Burgess is an American playwright and screenwriter. Her stage works include the satirical play Dry Powder, which premiered at the Public Theater in New York in 2016 and received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination, and Kings.
Burgess expanded into television as head writer, showrunner and executive producer of the third season of the anthology series American Crime Story, subtitled Impeachment (2021). She was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for the season. She has also contributed to series including Purity and Lodge 49.
