Biography
Sarah Hassan is a Kenyan actress, producer, director and former television host. Born on 5 September 1988 in Mombasa, she trained in actuarial science at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and later studied television and film at the New York Film Academy.
She made her television debut in 2009 as Tanya in the Kenyan series Tahidi High. Subsequent credits include Crime and Justice, Zora, Plan B (2019), Just in Time (2021) and the 2010 British film I Am Slave, in which she played a Sudanese NGO worker. She has also produced several projects through her company Alfajiri Productions and hosted shows such as Discovery+ 254.
Hassan has received multiple Kalasha Awards for acting and hosting, as well as the Order of the Grand Warrior of Kenya in 2024.
