Biography
Sarah Sutherland is an American actress. Born on 18 February 1988 in Los Angeles, she is the daughter of actor Kiefer Sutherland and the granddaughter of actors Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas. She trained at the Crossroads Drama Conservatory in Los Angeles and at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied in the Experimental Theatre Wing.
Sutherland is known for playing Catherine Meyer, the daughter of the title character, in the HBO series Veep (2012–2019). With the cast she won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for the sixth season. Her other credits include guest appearances in The Newsroom (2014) and Tim and Eric’s Bedtime Stories (2017), and film roles in Chronic (2015), What They Had (2018) and The Kid Detective (2020).
