Biography
Scott Bomar (born 15 June 1974) is an American composer, musician and producer based in Memphis, Tennessee. He leads the Memphis soul group The Bo-Keys and works as a recording engineer and producer.
Bomar has collaborated frequently with director Craig Brewer. He composed the scores for Hustle & Flow (2005), Black Snake Moan (2006), Dolemite Is My Name (2019) and Song Sung Blue (2025), and served as executive music producer on the last of these. He also composed the score for the television series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist (2024) and other films including Mississippi Grind (2015).
In 2009 he won an Emmy Award for Best Original Music for the documentary I Am a Man: From Memphis, a Lesson in Life.
