Biography
Sean Reycraft is a Canadian screenwriter, television producer and playwright. He was born and raised in Glencoe, Ontario, and is the son of former Ontario MPP Doug Reycraft. He studied film and television writing at the Canadian Film Centre.
Reycraft began as an actor in the early 1990s before writing plays, including Einstein Dreams (1996) and Pop Song, the latter of which won the Floyd S. Chalmers Canadian Play Award in the Youth Theatre division in 2001. He wrote the screenplay for the 2007 film Breakfast with Scot.
He has written and produced for television series including Degrassi: The Next Generation, 90210, Being Erica, The Vampire Diaries (2009), Switched at Birth, Rookie Blue, Killjoys and Mayfair Witches (2023).
