Biography
Shane Brennan is an Australian television writer and producer. He began his career as a journalist with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation before turning to scriptwriting in 1981. His early credits include episodes of Australian series such as Special Squad, The Flying Doctors and Stingers.
Brennan moved to the United States around 2003. He worked as a supervising producer and writer on CSI: Miami (2003–2004) and wrote episodes of The Lost World (2002). He joined NCIS (2003) as a writer and producer in 2006, later becoming executive producer and showrunner after Donald P. Bellisario. He created the spin-off series NCIS: Los Angeles (2009), serving as its showrunner until 2016 while remaining an executive producer on the original series until 2015. He also developed King & Maxwell (2013).
