Biography
Shefali Shah is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films, television and theatre. She began her career in Gujarati theatre before making her television debut in the early 1990s. Her film debut came with a minor role in Rangeela (1995), followed by a supporting part in the crime film Satya (1998).
She is known for her role as Ria Verma in Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding (2001). Other notable credits include Mohabbatein (2000), Karthik Calling Karthik (2010), Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), Brothers (2015), Darlings (2022) and the series Delhi Crime (2019–), in which she plays DCP Vartika Chaturvedi. She received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Last Lear (2007).
Shah was previously married to actor Harsh Chhaya. She is married to director Vipul Amrutlal Shah.
