Biography
Shelley Farthing-Dawe is an Australian cinematographer who works across film, television and commercials.
He served as director of photography on the Netflix miniseries Boy Swallows Universe (2024, episodes 1–5), for which he received the 2025 AACTA Award for Best Cinematography in Television. Other credits include Transfusion (2023), In Vitro (2024), Dangerous Animals (2025) and second-unit photography on Upgrade (2018). He is a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS).
Farthing-Dawe trained in Australia and began his career shooting student films, music videos and commercials before moving into drama and series work.
