Biography
Shend is an English actor, born Chris Harz on 17 November 1957 in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. He began his career in music, founding the punk and indie band The Cravats in 1977; he has continued to perform with the group and was involved in other bands including The Very Things.
His television credits include roles in Red Dwarf (1988), Big Train (1998), Hustle (2004), Torchwood (2006), Merlin (2010) and Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge (1994), in which he appeared as The Band. Film appearances include Split Second (1992), Revolver (2005), Hogfather (2007) and Pusher (2012).
