Biography
Shun Oguri is a Japanese actor, voice actor and director. Born on 26 December 1982 in Tokyo, he began his acting career at the age of 13 in the television drama Hachidai Shogun Yoshimune (1995). He is the son of stage director Tetsuya Oguri and has an older brother, Ryo, who is also an actor.
Oguri is known for film roles including Nachi in Azumi (2003), Genji Takiya in Crows Zero (2007) and Akira in Sukiyaki Western Django (2007). He has voiced characters in Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa (2005) and Weathering with You (2019). In 2021 he made his Hollywood debut as Ren Serizawa in Godzilla vs. Kong. He directed his first feature film, Surely Someday, released in 2010, in which he also appeared in a cameo role.
Oguri has been married to actress and model Yu Yamada since 2012.
