Biography
Shyaporn Theerakulstit is a Thai-American actor, writer and director. Born on 1 March 1973 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he is based in New York City. He graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied at the Stella Adler Conservatory and the Classical Studio, and holds a degree in traditional Shaolin kung fu from Alan Lee’s Chinese Kung Fu Wu Su Association.
His screen credits include the role of Somechai in the 2025 film Song Sung Blue, a bartender in The Flight Attendant (2020) and The Land of Steady Habits (2018), Paparazzi #2 in Girls5eva (2022), and Dale the Light Guy in Power Book III: Raising Kanan (2021). He has also appeared in The Kindergarten Teacher (2018).
Theerakulstit is a content creator with a YouTube channel that has accumulated over five million views. He hosts the Nerd Nite and REAL/fake Science lecture series and has given talks at the Smithsonian, TEDx and other venues.
