Biography
Sigurjón Kjartansson is an Icelandic writer, producer, comedian and actor. He served as showrunner and writer on the crime series Trapped (2015–2021) and co-created the series Katla (2021).
Born in Reykjavík on 20 September 1968, he began in comedy as one half of the radio duo Tvíhöfði with Jón Gnarr and as a member of the metal band HAM. He has appeared in several Icelandic films and television productions, including the role of Mörður in Virgin Mountain (2015).
Kjartansson has written and produced multiple drama series and directed his first feature film, Grand Finale (2024).
