Biography
Johnny Chen is a Taiwanese composer. Born in Kaohsiung on 3 March 1958, he has composed original scores for films including Center Stage (1991), directed by Stanley Kwan, and Xiu Xiu: The Sent-Down Girl (1998), directed by Joan Chen.
For Center Stage, Chen received the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Original Film Score and Best Original Film Song. He has also worked as a singer and songwriter in Taiwanese popular music.
