Biography
Skip Martin, born Derek George Horowitz on 28 March 1928 in Sydenham, London, was a British actor. He made his film debut in an uncredited role in Saint Joan (1957) and appeared in early films including Corridors of Blood (1958) and The Hellfire Club (1961).
Martin is known for his performance as Hop Toad in The Masque of the Red Death (1964). Other credits include Circus of Fear (1966) as Mr Big, the Die Nibelungen films (1966–1967) as Alberich, Vampire Circus (1972) as Michael, Horror Hospital (1973) as Frederick, and Son of Dracula (1973) as Igor. He also had television roles, including appearances in The Goodies. Between acting assignments he worked as a tobacconist. Martin died on 4 November 1984 in London.
