Biography
Sonia Darrin (born Sonia Paskowitz) was an American film actress. She was born on 16 June 1924 in Galveston, Texas, and began her screen career in 1941 with uncredited roles in films including It Started with Eve and Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943).
Darrin is best known for her uncredited performance as Agnes Lowzier in The Big Sleep (1946), in which she appeared in several scenes opposite Humphrey Bogart. She received an onscreen credit for recreating the role in a 1950 television adaptation on Robert Montgomery Presents. Other credits include Bury Me Dead (1947) and uncredited parts in Caught (1949) and Federal Agent at Large (1950). She was the last surviving cast member of The Big Sleep. Her son is former child actor Mason Reese.
