Biography
Sophie Bloom (née Hensser) is an Australian actress. She is the daughter of actress Wendy Strehlow. She attended Kambala Girls' School and trained at the Australian Theatre for Young People and the National Institute of Dramatic Art open programme. She holds a BA in media communications, media, arts and production from the University of Technology Sydney.
Bloom began her career with a main role as Megan in the children's series The Saddle Club (2001–2002). She has appeared in recurring roles in Home and Away (as Freya Duric in 2009 and Neve Spicer in 2022), Underbelly: The Golden Mile (as Monica in 2010), and Underbelly: Vanishing Act (2022). Other television credits include main roles in Tricky Business (2012, as Lily Christie) and Love Child (2014–2017, as Vivian Maguire), as well as guest appearances in Colin from Accounts (2022–2024, as Phoebe). She has also worked in theatre, including Silent Disco (2011).
She married Danny Bloom in 2016.
