Biography
Sophie O'Neill is a British costume designer. She grew up in London and graduated from the London College of Fashion in 2012 with a first-class honours degree in Costume Design for Performance.
She began her career as a costume buyer, assistant costume designer and costume supervisor on feature films including Jawbone (2017), Stan & Ollie (2018) and The Selfish Giant (2013), the last marking her first collaboration with director Clio Barnard. She later worked as assistant costume designer to Michele Clapton on Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018), The Secret Garden (2020) and The King's Man (2021).
O'Neill's first feature as lead costume designer was Ali & Ava (2021) for Clio Barnard. Subsequent credits include The Outfit (2022), Sky Peals (2023), Hot Milk (2025) and The Thing with Feathers (2025).
