Biography
Sophie Schmit is a French film editor, director, screenwriter and producer. She began working in the early 1980s and collaborated frequently with Luc Besson, with whom she was also in a relationship.
Her credits include editing Le Dernier Combat (1983) and Subway (1985), on which she also received a screenplay credit. The latter earned her a César Award nomination for Best Editing. She has edited numerous other features, shorts and television productions, and has directed several short films and a documentary.
