Biography
Sophie Stewart was a British actress. She was born in Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland, and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after an injury ended her early interest in ballet. She appeared in stage productions and on radio as well as in films.
Her screen credits include the role of Mrs. Cabal in Things to Come (1936). She is also known for Devil Girl from Mars (1954) as Mrs. Jamieson, Marigold (1938) in the title role, and Nurse Edith Cavell (1939) as Sister Watkins. She was married to the actor Ellis Irving.
