Biography
Sophina Brown is an American actress. Born on 18 September 1976 in Saginaw, Michigan, she earned a BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Michigan. She began her career in theatre, appearing in the national tour of Fame and the Broadway production of The Lion King.
Brown is known for her starring role as prosecutor Raina Troy in the CBS series Shark (2006–2008). She later played FBI agent Nikki Betancourt in Numb3rs (2008–2010). Her other television credits include guest appearances in Grey's Anatomy, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Bones, Castle, NCIS and 9-1-1. In 2010 she married actor Henry Simmons, a co-star from Shark.
