Biography
Stacia Napierkowska (born Renée Claire Angèle Élisabeth Napierkowski) was a French actress, dancer and director of the silent film era. She appeared in around 86 films between 1908 and 1926, often in exotic or seductive roles, and also directed the 1917 short L'Héritière de la manade.
She began her career as a dancer with the Folies Bergère and made her film debut in 1908. Napierkowska is noted for her performance as the ballerina Marfa Koutiloff in Louis Feuillade’s serial Les Vampires (1915). Other prominent roles include Queen Antinea in Jacques Feyder’s L’Atlantide (1921) and Salome in several productions. She died in Paris on 11 May 1945.
