Biography
Stefania Casini is an Italian actress, screenwriter, director and producer. Born on 4 September 1948 in Villa di Chiavenna, she studied architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan before beginning her acting career in the early 1970s.
She appeared as Neve in Bernardo Bertolucci's 1900 (1976) and as Sara in Dario Argento's Suspiria (1977). Other film roles include parts in Blood for Dracula (1974), Andy Warhol's Bad (1977), Marco Ferreri's Bye Bye Monkey (1978) and Peter Greenaway's The Belly of an Architect (1987). Casini later moved into directing, co-writing and co-directing Lontano da dove (1983) with Francesca Marciano, and has made numerous documentaries and television programmes.
