Biography
Steinunn Ólína Þorsteinsdóttir is an Icelandic actress. She was born on 2 July 1969 in Reykjavík and trained at the Drama Centre London, graduating in 1990. She began her career with a stage role at the National Theatre of Iceland as Solveig in Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt.
She is known for her television roles, including Aldís in the series Trapped (2015) and Gabríela in Case (2015), for which she received a FIPA d'Or award for best actress and an Edda award. Film credits include Wealtheow in Beowulf & Grendel (2005) and Þorgerður in Cop Secret (2021). She has also worked as a television host, producer and writer.
