Biography
Stéphane Sorlat is a French producer and distributor of feature films and documentaries. He graduated from CELSA at the Sorbonne and holds a master’s degree in Anglo-American literature from the Institut Charles-V of Paris-Diderot University. In 1981 he was appointed Unifrance delegate in Mexico and later became delegate general for Latin America.
In 1984 he co-founded Paradis Films with Éric Heumann and Jean Labadie; in 1986 the three established the distribution company BAC Films. He has produced or co-produced numerous films, including Landscape in the Mist (1988), East/West (1999), The Spanish Apartment (2002) and The Realm (2018). In 1992 he created Mate Production in Madrid, and in 2005 he founded Zahorimedia. Since 2012 he has directed Mondex & Cie with Guy Amon.
