Biography
Stephen Chin is a screenwriter and producer. He co-wrote the screenplay for the 2016 film War Dogs, directed by Todd Phillips and based on a Rolling Stone article about arms dealers. The project drew on his own experiences in Iraq in 2004, which had earlier informed his unproduced screenplay I Rock Iraq, listed on the 2007 Black List.
In the late 1990s Chin worked as a producer on independent films including Gummo (1997) and Another Day in Paradise (1998), on which he also received a writing credit. He had previously graduated from Yale Law School and worked as a lawyer in Washington, D.C., before moving into film production and associating with Miramax.
