Biography

Stephen Edwards is an American composer, musician and orchestrator. He graduated from Lawrence University's conservatory of music in 1985 and trained at Interlochen. He began his career as a session pianist and keyboard programmer before composing scores for feature films.

His early film credits include She's Been Away (1989), Midnight Fear (1990) and The Minister's Wife (1992). Later scores encompass Finding Rin-Tin-Tin (2008), The Mechanic (2011) and Syndrome K (2019). Edwards has also composed orchestral and choral works performed at Carnegie Hall and the Vatican, and he has produced and directed documentaries including Requiem for My Mother (2017). He received Hollywood Film & TV Music Awards for his scores to Finding Rin-Tin-Tin and Requiem for My Mother.
