Biography
Stevan Riley is a British film director, producer, editor and writer. Born in November 1975, he was educated at the University of Oxford, where he studied Modern History, and attended Dover Grammar School for Boys in Kent.
Riley's early work includes the documentary Rave Against the Machine (2002). His feature debut Blue Blood (2006) received nominations at the Evening Standard Film Awards and London Critics' Circle Awards. He went on to direct Fire in Babylon (2010), Everything or Nothing (2012) and Listen to Me Marlon (2015), on which he also served as writer and editor. Listen to Me Marlon was shortlisted for an Academy Award, nominated for a BAFTA and won a Peabody Award. Riley edited the Oscar-nominated short Pearl (2016).
